JT's Shock Oil is a small business started by a large-scale RC enthusiast who wanted dependable shock oil without the guesswork — and decided to make it himself.
Where It All Started
JT's Shock Oil grew out of a simple frustration: finding shock oil that was actually consistent. As a large-scale RC enthusiast running vehicles from ARRMA, Traxxas, and Losi, getting reliable suspension performance meant knowing exactly what was in the bottle — and that the next bottle would behave the same way.
So we started blending our own. Every formula was tested on real rigs, in real conditions — not just on paper. We dialed in viscosities that actually made sense for the way hobbyists, bashers, and racers use their vehicles, and packaged it in full 4 oz bottles so you're not running out mid-session.
Today JT's is still enthusiast-owned and operated. We're not a big corporation — we're RC people who care about the hobby. That means honest products, straightforward guidance, and better value than what you'll find from the big names.
That same hands-on approach is still what drives JT's today. Beyond the oil itself, our goal is to give RC enthusiasts the tuning information, real-world testing, and practical guidance to understand what their suspension is doing and make adjustments with confidence.
